i have 10.3.9 and use PHP. how can i find out if MySQL is installed and enabled? i know PHP but i have never used MySQL yet (!)

Unless you deliberately installed it yourself, it's not installed. Are you prone to memory loss? MySQL is not included with the standard Mac OS X installation.
If you want to get it yourself, you can grab a copy from MySQL.com's Download page. You can follow this page's instructions for setting it up. also, as a beginner, how can i see which version is installed on my server? and if you know - should i install the newest version? is that one generally available on commercial servers at webhosting services? is it better to stick with an older, more widely spread version? thanks |
