ok so have a look at this:
http://electronics.search.ebay.co.uk...0QQsacatZ15057 look how much 6gb ipod minis go for on ebay! are these buyers mad? and look at this: http://electronics.search.ebay.co.uk...QQsacatZ112519 i'm not seeing much of a price difference between the mini 6gb and the video 30gb! i think i might sell the mini because i now have way more than 6gb of music, add £30 and buy a 30gb ipod! anyone notice a flaw in my plan, because this seems too good to be true! love, miss. swan |

just make sure none of those are scam artists who will just rip you off. iPods are a common item for fraud.

Aren't those all for NEW minis. There is a premium on minis because they have been discontinued.

I guess the 6GB minis are also popular because they have 50% more capacity than the nano in a package that's still small. But I don't understand why anyone would pay so much for one, given the current prices for the full-sized iPods.

The iPod resale market is insane. Yes, evilswan, your plan will work. Just be sure to make a high quality listing. Spend a buck or 2 (or would that be £.5 or £?) for the bold/color listing.
If it's not red and showing substantial musculature, you're wearing it wrong. |

-- Of course for this 'cunning' plan to work, you'll have to part with your current mini. This is easier said then done.
I for one would rather just buy another iPod then traid up. I guess I'm just very attached to my 4Gig, 2nd Gen green mini. no sig, how's that for being a rebel! |

Sure, sounds great, I've done it like 5 times with iPods. And I'm sure millions of others have too.
2G iPod sold for 3G 3G iPod sold for Mini Mini Sold for 4G Color 4G Color sold for Nano Nano sold for Video It's just a matter of selling an old item to upgrade, nothing too cunning about it. |

Personally, I don't see the point of buying an iPod mini/nano considering for $100 more you can get at least 5x more space and video playback... (The 30gb video vs the 2gb nano is 15X more space.) Plus the 5G iPod is small enough (although the nano is INSANELY small)
I've had people ask me if my 5G iPod was a nano, though, since it's so small. People are like "They're right! It is small!" And I'm like "roofles n00b" |

I've just done a similar thing guys. Me and my g/f both had a blue and pink ipod mini 4gb 1st gen which we decided to eBay to help pay for the 5th gen 30gbs. We paid £179 for them when they first came out and each of them went on eBay they other day for £160+shipping!!! One of them even wanted shipping to Australia from the UK so I actually made money on my iPod after having it for 14 months!
Well chuffed with that, but still can't beleive people would pay so much... |
