I need a jack to go into my iPhone to connect some of my old iPod devices (like the adapter that will hook it to the speakers in my snowboard helmet speakers.) I guess since the iPhone jack is more recessed, you need a special adapter.

I looked on the Apple Store and saw this Monster Cable but the reviews look very bad.

Any one else found something comparable?

Now that I got a job, I can buy more Apple products!

I've got the belkin one. I hate it because it's so long, but it does the job.

I've got that one too and for some reason it seems to dampen the sound. When using the adapter in my car and a plug going into the AUX port the sound is about half that of what it is when it's plugged directly into my iPod at regular volume. I don't really know why. It's not really worth the $9.99 price tag, but considering it was the cheapest option I could find... oh well.

I simply carved the plastic on the plug for my headphones, so I wouldn't need any adapters. Works perfectly and it's free (if you have a sharp knife, like an X-acto). See this guy's picture for an example.

I too carved the jack of a pair of earphones I wanted to use. Interestingly enough, there was a seam at just the right diameter that I could cut back to and it worked like a champ.

I have the Monster Cable adapter. It serves its purpose, but is freakishly long, far longer than would seem necessary.

I thought I had heard from an Apple Store employee that a smaller version was due out, but that may have been wishful thinking...

Not all of us are so uniquely qualified to do so, mr. squirrel.
