I am also thinking about buying a Iphone. Not really in a hurry. Would you w8 for the new one or go for the 3gs?

Up to you... we're kinda heading towards halfway between the two models. So if you can wait, you'll get a much better phone. On the other hand, if you get a 3GS now and take good care of it, the resale value should be reasonable if you choose to upgrade in 7-8 months time.
You should probably also consider the network. There is a chance that next years iPhone will be available on more carriers than just AT&T (if you are in the US). So if AT&T really doesn't work for you, you may like to wait and see what happens here (could be that nothing changes). |

iPhone releases thus far have always taken place in June, so if it continues down that road, we're not even halfway there.

Buy the 3GS. Also, stop using wa8. Wait is not that much harder to type.

Me personally, I would wait for the new upgrade. It just depends on if you really need a new phone upgrade now or not.

Yeah, it depends in your phone situation. Also what features you need/want, &c. It's hard for us to answer this for you, besides...buy what you need when you need it. Otherwise, wait if you can.
I bought an iPhone 3G in late April. Obviously the 3G S was only about two months away, but I couldn't wait - I needed a phone (yes, needed, not "needed" ). So I bought the 3G. No regrets. |
