Hello

I was wondering what peoples thoughts are on the difference between the dual core i5 or the dual core i7? I need dedicated graphics graphics so no server version for me.

Since the i7 is only £50 more expensive I was wondering if it is worth it? The thing is it is only 0.2GHz faster and I am not sure the difference between i7 and i5 will actually make much difference.

Thoughts??

This is what I've been complaining about with Intel's numbering/naming for a while...there is literally no difference between those two processors other than clock speeds.

I wouldn't pay even £50 for the differences shown in Eugene's Ark link. (Though I object to the word "literally" in Eugene's post: there's a small cache difference too.)

I might pay £120 for the 7200 rpm/750 GB hard drive upgrade, but only if I knew for sure it wasn't the Seagate. Does anyone know what hard drives Apple is using in these?

I think that Apple uses Seagate and WD for it's HDs these days.
