This site REALLY looks nice. A pleasure to look at, particularly that top portion with the logo, holes, etc. Very slick.

And it seems to be a vibrant and active place, where suggestions and ideas are responded to rather quickly.

Maybe that was the whole point.

Just seems to be a very "ducks in a row" kinda place, particularly for something so new and quickly activated and probably not truly "ready for primetime". But nice work...just wanted to say it out loud.

Thanks for the compliments on the design. I spent a good amount of time perfecting the masthead up there, but we obviously just didn't have time to get EVERYTHING cleaned up. But glad you like the look :)

Maybe that was the whole point. Or at least a very big part of it! Yep, thanks and keep up the good work, guys.

Indeed, it truly looks like a worthy successor to the *cough* other board ;) :)

I like this site's color gamma. A.I.com's preference for low-contrast grays and blues used to give me a headache.

Agreed.

And I also love the way it looks.

With no ads this place really looks better then .com.

Adds are inevitable, alas.

No sir... they are not.

Not here they aren't. The ads were a huge reason we moved from .com. If they ever show up here I would be extremely surprised as would most of the current members.

I will drink to that!

There is no good reason why we would have ads on this site now or ever. If we ever did, and don't take this out of context and interpret it as "omg wtf bbq, ai.org will have ads!" -- if we ever did, we would pick the advertisers... kind of like how penny arcade does it. I think they did a lot of things right.

Hey, just don't ever put those talking Tina ones or those blinking, tacky ones here and I'd imagine most of us here would be perfectly fine with a small, tasteful static banner ad, if needed at some point. Huge difference between the two.

It ain't "ads" in and of themselves...it's "ugly, annoying ads that truly disrupt your enjoyment of the site" so many have a beef with.
