I did this by accident...I had a machine in my master list at one IP, and then I upgraded my wireless router's firmware and the machine that was running the Remote Desktop admin application took that IP by chance. This is what happened when I clicked on "control." If you drag your pointer over the window it gets sucked into the black hole.

Yeah, you can do it with a video camera, but this way it's interactive! :D

I move the mouse to a place on the "remote" screen slowly and it gets transported back to that spot on the host. And while w're on the topic of Star Trek, it also reminds me of the episode "Where Silence Has Lease" where the Enterprise crew is held hostage by some powerful being called Nagilum. Worf and Riker transport to what they think is the USS Yamato, but it turns out to be one of Nagilum's creations... Worf walks through one door on the side of the bridge and comes out the other side very confused and angry.

Eugene I read some pretty negative stuff on the ARD Apple Discussions site about version 2.0 . Have you have many issues with it yourself?

On a related tangent, I once recorded that episode and took weeks trying to figure out what this song (http://brad.project-think.com/downloads/picards-music.mov) was (it's Gymnopedie ( http://brad.project-think.com/downloads/ERIK_SATIE_Gymnopedie_.mp3)).

But... yeah... :p I've done that by accident with VNC before too. Freaky stuff. :)

Gymnopedie - beautiful piece. Nice to play and very soothing to listen to as well. :)
