We have posting guidelines. Look in the upper right hand corner. Basically, fitting in here is like fitting in with any new group of people... you kind of just have to play it by ear and build your own niche. We already like you, based on this thread, so I wouldn't worry.

try the local pharmacy, a slim jim helps under the cover of darkness, otherwise get yourself a good doctor... maybe one that enjoys life too... if not then pop down to the local science park where they do those medical trials, free to try and well paid too, or so i'm told.

Welcome hype. Some valuable tips:
1. Don't start any heavily partisan or trollish political threads. Those belong over thar (http://www.appleinsider.com/), generally speaking. It's what they do best....

3. Don't blaspheme, which around here usually consists of one or more of the following:
•Bad-mouthing the greatest sport on earth... hockey (moderator Murbot or myself can help you with you any indoctrination needs).
• Extolling the virtues of swill-beer when there are so many good ones available. Murbot can also help with this, as he is a living, nearly always breathing, patron saint of suds.
•Bad-mouthing Apple on a regular basis (once in a while is OK, for example: "Man, I love Motion and DVD Studio Pro... how come iDVD has to suck so bad?" or "Steve you pop-culture whore; drop the prices of mini-pods immediately or I will start fire-bombing").
4. Tolerate the spec whore but do not provoke or encourage him in any way... spec whores can be wily beasts. Not to be triffled with.

I poke spec whores the most... my main comp is still a Powermac 6100 from 1994. I haven't the slightest chance of being "l33t".
Really? Man, our forums must look like ass on that computer. :lol: With all the CSS going on here, I don't think any browsers of that era would render these pages correctly. Will Mozilla run on a computer that old?
He could install OS 9 and run Mozilla 1.2.1 on it. But I've found all versions of Mozilla to be incredibly slow on anything short of a 400 MHz G3 with 256 MB of RAM. Not to mention OS 9 performance would suck on a 6100 - I'd prefer OS 8.1.
You could get by with Netscape 3 or 4, Internet Explorer 4, iCab, or even Netscape 2 if you turn off Javascript. Hell, Netscape 2 is actually surprisingly good, and it's extremely fast - almost as fast as a text-based browser. You just have to turn off Javascript and install the Netscape Defrost extension to keep it from crashing constantly.

Actually, I run OS 7.5.3 (cause it was free) and Netscape 4.7. Yes, these forums do look like crap, especially with my 640x480 display. Not to mention my 14,800 baud modem. Javascript is on, and yes it does crash once or twice a day.
My other computer is a 12" iBook G4, but I usually leave it at school on the weekends (in my locker).
