...or is it just meant to be a community/forum site? Was just curious, and didn't know if the news/rumors/inside info was all Kasper and others at .com.
Do we have a line/source on inside dirt, or is that type of stuff just simply not planned for this one?
I heard ThinkSecret was a possibility.

ThinkSecret has its own forums...this should be interesting.

there are a few things in the works, since the move was unexpected at this time, the front end wasn't ready with news/rumors, but that is expected in the not too distant future.
are you trying to secure a deal with an exisiting rumor site - or is .org going to handle their own rumor/inside scoop stuff themseves now?
... I guess, as a last resort, you could always pilfer your scoops from .com (j/k) ;)

...OR you could just make them up like MOSR and MacWhispers?
:p
Thanks for the info, alcimedes.
I volunteer to get whacked out on drugs to write the "predictions".
I don't approve of drugs, but there is no I in Team.

Great idea, except for the obvious negative ramifications of becoming the laughingstock just like MOSR and MacWhispers.
We wouldn't want that now, would we? :)

Not even close. Sure this past week hasn't exactly been great for AI's reputation (both on the .com side and the new .org), but at least we wont have to dig ourselves out far.
AI is very respected and well liked among the Apple message boards, and I don't see the revolution changing that a whole lot. Seems to me that it didn't make a huge ripple in the pond, and now that most of us are back to normal and want to get on with our lives, the rest of the internet communities surely are too.

I know that, and that's due to the fact that we (at the time of this post) aren't even a week old.
We'll get a reputation, but these things take time.
That's right, these things take time. Now, I wonder, what would make us gain a reputation?
Rumors? News? Members?
Rumors take time, and we'd need a lot of them to hit the spot. If we were to be the official forum of ThinkSecret, TS would still get all the reputation. With News? No way. Just have a look at MacMinute. They're trying really hard, and have a lot of success too. But yet another Mac news site? Spare me. And the reputation that AppleInsider has the best, honest and whatnot members is certainly gone with the split. And it will take time for that to come back.
But if we could provide fellow Mac-heads with the best place there is to hang out on the internet, then I'd definitely see a morning sun. :)
