when i had my 2nd generation ipod i had an itrip and it was fine. but now that i have a mini i need to get a new fm transmiter and am trying to find a better option.

i live in kuwait so we have like only 4 frequencies occupied, the rest are all empty.

which of the following would give me the clearest signal?

The iTrip, the monster icarplay or the belkin tunecast II?

thank u

I few weeks back I drove my entire life from Boston to Atlanta (about 1200 miles and a handful of major cities) with a TuneCast and my iPod. The Tunecast was soooo much better than any other transmitter I've ever used. It would even successfully break through in almost absolute clarity, from a station broadcasting a signal. I gotta recommend the TuneCast.

TuneCast II, and it performed much better than the iTrip I had tried a year earlier.... think it was the iTrip. I don't really remember, it went back the next day.

didnt take much but i am convinced to go with the belkin. i think i just dont want the itrip cuz it would feel like a waste of money buying something i had. atleast with the TuneCast II it will feel like i got something new. Plus i am getting the TuneCast which comes with the car adapter so i dont even have to get batteries for it. I also psychologically believe that if it uses the car power then it will broadcast stronger or something :)

None of them. I like te Griffin RoadTrip (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/roadtrip/) which will work with the iPod Mini and all dockable iPods.

have u seen the RoadTrip, its not even out. I read the review on ipodlounge and saw the pictures. First of all you need to put a clip on your mini so that it fits onto the roadtrip. I hate the clip, ads a lot of bulk. Also the thing is huge and will give me issues with my bmws gearstick since the electric socket is right next to it.

i just put the headphones on and sing along real loud, everyone seems to enjoy it......

seriously if i'd of known i was going to spend as much in accessories as i did on the mini, i might not have got one.

i don't think i'll spend more money on a transmitter, the one we use now, belkin's tunecast (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=&pcount=&Product_Id=140984) is fine outside of chicago but around the city it's problematic.

it's bad enough making phone-calls on the mobile, driving around trying to find a signal to pirate on iStumbler and having to change stations....why i might have an accident.

Yes, I've seen it, and it'll be out in September, I believe.

But for something as versatile as it, of course there needs to be something to accomodate for the size differences between the iPods.

But if you also want to charge and mount it at the same time, it's just convenient.

PowerBook i was asking for opinions from people who own or have experienced a device. Seeing pictures of a device doesnt mean u have experienced it. How could you recommend something you have neither purchased or tried?
