AppleScript controlling iTunes Music Store?

I'm trying to make an AppleScript for controlling iTunes Music Store. I don't know the first thing about AppleScript so, needless to say, I'm not getting anywhere.

Would someone knowledgable please tell me if the following is possible, and how to do it.

I have a collection of iTMS song links in an xml document. I want AppleScript to go through the links and place each song in the shopping cart.

Basically, this would be saving the action of clicking on a link in the xml doc and then clicking on the corresponding "Add song" button in the iTMS.

Possible?
Maybe there's even a better suited application than AppleScript?
