How do I activate that thing that makes a site think Safari is another browser?

Not necessary AND just bad advice. The current version of PithHelmet has some awful bugs that make Safari slower than a turtle in frozen molasses.

What you want to do is enable the "debug menu" in Safari. There are several free utilities you can download that will do this for you, or you can just enter this command in the terminal and relaunch Safari:

defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1

No. What you want is the "Safari Debug Menu"

Linky (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/17952)

You could also enable the debug menu from command line if you're the terminal geek type.

edit: ah... terminally geeky types type faster than I can find links. ;)
