I am running 10.35 and cannot restart or shut down from finder. I can restart/shutdown if I force quit finder. Otherwise it just hangs in finder. I have rebuilt permissions and run diskwarior.

I tried the preference deletion and tried the creating a new user account. No luck there. I went to the cosole. I get the following repeating over and over. Maybe it is a clue.

Try this link (http://www.inertramblings.com/archives/000695.html)

Looks like this is related to a Canon product.......

Ok, I got the console to stop with the recurring message but the original problem remains. If I try to restart/shutdown all applications quit but finder and it hangs. If I force quit finder it will then restart/shutdown. Something won't quit in finder. Any ideas?
