will it have two or more ethernet ports in its next incarnation?
i've read a number of reviews about the AE and this seems to be one of the most common demands. indeed, i bought AE ready to go wireless, only to find out the significant other isn't willing to go wireless as long as she banks and trades online, which she does almost on a daily basis.
so what are the chances of apple updating AE with two (or more) ethernet ports for wired/wireless connectivity? it seems like a reasonable thing to do anyway.
Not very likely at all. Why don't you just get a switch?
What's far more likely (knowing Apple, they prefer Cool Stuff) is having video out on the airport express. Oh and a remote too.

Ever heard of encryption? Her info will not be stolen because she's using wireless.

Granted, it takes someone who actually knows about these things...

That's why you should use WPA.

Unless you're planning on using the AE in WDS mode (essential for bridging) because WDS only supports WAP...

Significant other needs a quick tech explanation why the security fears are completely groundless on trading and online banking. Even if you ran your wireless network unsecured (which of course you wouldn't do, not being stupid) then the online trading and banking details would still be SSL secured from client to server. Thus, Significant Other's argument holds no water.
Unless of course, Significant Other sends online banking and trading information in-clear over the Internet without using SSL, in which case S.O. needs a much quicker technical explanation, and instant disconnection from said Internet.
