30" Displays are now shipping!!!

Macrumors is reporting that the 30" displays are now shipping. I guess my perdiction of within 2 weeks came true in my 6800 has some competition thread.

It is true! The 30" monitors are shipping. I received mine this past thursday and I received my dual 2.5g mac on wednesday. The display looks amazing and I'm still a little awe struck when working on it.

Any magenta-like casts on the screen? I've heard rumblings that many display models seem to have this problem, but I can't imagine Apple would ship a monitor that niche-y and that expensive without knowing it's top-notch quality-wise.

I don't notice any magenta like casts at all. In fact the monitor is unbelievable, the image quality and color is outstanding. I was a little worried about having some dead pixels (my 17inch imac came with a dead pixel) and after hearing some reports that you need a certain amount of dead pixels to have it replaced. I am extremely happy to report that I have absolutely NO dead pixels at all.

I have tried some emulators on it and have played both Black and White and Warcraft 3 on it as well as design applications and they all look beautiful. If you have the cash to spend, I definetly reccomend this monitor. As for pictures, I will take some tomorrow and post them for all to see.

I wish I could see one...here in Canada, there are no Apple stores. So its only Best Buy for your Apple needs :rolleyes: The biggest they have is the 23" I believe.
