I've got three huge photo albums from my pre-digital age with a summation of roughly 1000 or so photos. I don't have the negatives (and if I do I haven't the slightest where they are). Each picture is mounted, scrap-book style, on the page. I have wanted to get these pictures into iPhoto for roughly a year now but don't have the time to scan every single picture in and get it done.

Does anyone know of, or has used a service that does this? I'd be really leery to send these things off in fear they may never return, but I'm willing to look at different options.

Thanks guys.

There are a few services that do this, though it will cost you. It won't cost you like it used to at least. I remember when places charged $1.50 per negative! Now, it's usually half that. Stil lnot ideal, but it's getting better...

Google search (http://www.google.com/search?q=bulk+digital+photo+scanning+service)

Send it to India cheap (http://www.scancafe.com/)

A Stateside service (http://www.digitalmemoriesonline.net)

Thanks, for the services, but have you had any experience with them? I don't just want to send stuff off without knowing someone who as actually used one of these services.
