The addition of a Post Office to Bridgeport was a banner day way back when for two reasons: we finally took down the oligarchy and replaced the core of the White House with a people's house, and we got mail. Lots of it. Some of it in the form of roses for loved ones, some in the form of slime balls for gambling, but whatever the form mail was had by all. So it is perhaps no surprise that one of the first projects completed in our new city center near the mob trap is a Post Office, now ready for operation, screen caps below. I designed/built it with input from Elysium and 709. There are 38 Rooms, which covers all of the whitelisted folks with room for growth. Modification of the design can possibly squeeze at least 10 more rooms in, but I think if the server becomes that popular we'd be better off with a branch location ;).

For the new members of this world the post office works as such: Each player picks a numbered room that contains a chest. Once you choose your box, you need to change the sign both on the switch and the room. Please keep the format to Room ##, Name, just to keep things nice. There will be (after the ops provide it) a chest containing signs for use in leaving short messages to other players in their rooms, and the chests serve as means of exchanging actual goods. New mail is indicated by a switch/redstone torch dedicated to each room/player, sort of like the flag on a mail box. These switches are tied into a set of torches outside of the building to indicate to passersby that there is new mail for *someone*. Privacy cannot be assured but is expected, so please don't go into other people's rooms unless they explicitly tell you you can.

We *still* have yet to name this world. It is sort of uninspiring so far...

That looks totally awesome. Can you post the coords so I can find it? We should also put it on the long term list of subway stops....

Thx

These coords will get you close: 267 69 251.

709 (grey) has plans for a subway station near to the Post office. Much work remains on terraforming the desert there...

You know, if we implemented SWIFT, my "SAFE WARP FOR THE PEOPLE" plan, we could have guaranteed arrival booths with published coords.
