can our friends down under get songs from the iTMS?? if not, i think they will be soon (http://www.pepsi.com.au/v3/ipod.htm)

that is alot of iPods they are giving away, every hour on the hour

I was going to suggest that it may have been affiliated with Telstra's music site (launched this year), but when you mentioned iPods that got my hopes up! :D

btw - how did you discover this anyway? I certainly wouldn't have felt compelled to go looking at a softdrink company's web page from a different continent to my own ;) ... what was the link?

I couldn't load the page (on 56k and it shat itself), but where on the page shown above does it say that an iTMS will open??? Or is it shown somewhere else???

no, i am saying that this might be a sign that the iTMS is coming soon...why else would pepsi be giving away iPods in AU?? i could be wrong, it has happened before...but i think you should bet iTMS either in june or sept...by reading into the contest dates

We'll see. You could have said much the same thing anywhere given the iTMS/iPod link... I remain to be convinced.

Do you think your free iPod comes with attached girl?

I would think giving away iPods instead of iTunes downloads is due to the fact there is not an iTMS in Australia currently, not an indication of anything.

Saw the ad on TV tonight - 1 iPod per hour to give away! (as we know)

Barto is right too - the fact that we don't yet have an iTMS is probably the reason they have chosen to give away iPods instead of iTMS song vouchers. I'd be very surprised if the down-under iTMS launched in the next few months! Still, we wait in hope! :)

could australia and canada be far behind?? even the same day??

in australia and canada iTMS is only dealing with one gov't...in europe they are dealing with many...you would think it would be easier to deal with just one...
