View Full Version : Keyboard Stops Working
I have noticed (more often lately) that my keyboard will stop working. Well it's not really my keyboard stopping working. Like I can still cmd+tab, but I can't do cmd+L to select the URL in safari. Or I can't close windows, or hide applications without doing cmd+tab and then cmd+h from there. This used to happen in the real rare occasion and I'd just mash the keyboard and it would be working again. Now I don't know what makes it work again, but it's happening pretty often, and it's VERY annoying. Any help would be greatly appreciated. No it's not my num lock (I'm on a PowerBook) and I've reset my PRAM.
Edit: It was a loving mash.
Since this is not in Genius Bar, I'm going to offer this little morsel...
... it couldn't be related to this (http://homepage.mac.com/ajsonego/lookatthis/dilbert_computer.jpg) could it?
Make sure you are not enabling Sticky Keys by accident. I've accidently activated it and run into similar problems.
Since this is not in Genius Bar... tis now!
*kicks thread*
Stickies is not on, and nobody pissed on my keyboard. (Although I wish they had, it would at least explain it!)
There isn't anything secret keyboard ram I can reset in the firmware is there ;)

 ahhh... you took a look. My mate showed me a buch of those filthy Dilbert strips and they cracked me up. Mind you, they do get worse! (that keyboard one would be about the cleanest one I could post I reckon)
