I noticed looking through .com I found this thread about a P4 powerbook on ebay. I clicked the link. I want to point out 3 things.
1. It is going for $11,000.
2. If you look at the open pic of the powerbook you will notice it is a 15" ti powerbook. The other closed powerbook is pics from an apple store of the 17" al powerbook.
3. It says it is made by sony and uses a 1.5 Ghz P4.

The reason it's going for that much is because people know it's a scam and put in crap bids so that no one gets screwed.
Stuff like this happens all the time, it's a shame :\
What a deal. Great find!
I'll be bidding my life savings shortly!

Maybe you should check again.
Maybe you should take your own advice, it might make you look like less of an ass.... (just some friendly advice) :D

Check bid history. Alot of people cancled their bid. But, they must of bid again to save people from scams like DMB said earlier.
 I'm not saying it wasn't $1700 at some point today when you looked at it.
My point is that you were disagreeing with someone who said it was $11,000, when in fact it was $11,000 - and you could have checked that in 2 seconds with one click, before posting and making yourself look like an ass.
It couldn't be that you enjoy making an ass of yourself.... could it? ;)

Woah, someone named murbot bit 11,000 something and retracted it. Is he that crazy?
Is he that crazy?
Yes
Odd that the auction was left to finish. . . they are normally on top of killing off bad auctions before they finish. Meh.
