At first I really didn't like the Metal look. I though it looked like garbage and honestly it did look like garbage. The new Metal looks much better. Clean with the appropriate hue to the metal that blends well with the blue highlights of Panther and Tiger. The brushed look of the metal has improved drastically as well.
I guess we're living with it regardless but I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing now that it looks presentable. Theming would the ideal but NIH is alive and well in some areas.
The fit and finish of Tigers windows is great. I didn't mind pinstripes myself they were a little heavy in Jaguar and about right in Panther. We've come full circle with Panther with it's smooth glossy white UI that looks like a brand new iPod.
