Software for the router is only for Windoze. I want to put some sort of protection on the router. It is a wireless-b D-15 router. I'm running 10.3.4, 17" PB, etc. Anything I can do?

I cannot find your product on the d-link database, is it older/non-supported?

Sorry, I got the number wrong. It is the D614+. I was way off. Here (http://support.dlink.com/products/view.asp?productid=DI%2D614%2B%5FrevB) it is on their site.
I have the rev. B

I've got one of these.

Do you want to password protect the router so that you're the only one who can admin it, or password protect it so that only authorized users can get to it in the first place?

I want it so only authorized users can get to it in the first place.
Thanks in advance!

First, make sure the router is on and you're connected to it with a functioning ethernet cable.

Open a browser and go to this address:

http://192.168.0.1

login with this user/pass:

User Name: admin
Password: [leave blank]

The next screen you see should be the router's config screen.

Run the wizard to configure the router; make sure to give it a name and password you can remember.

Click the "Wireless" button on the left side of the screen. Activate WEP and generate encryption keys. Remember that longer keys (128 or 256 bit) will slow your wireless network down more than shorter (64 bit) keys.
