View Full Version : The Best Product Packaging EVER.
That's right. EVER.
Our good friends over at Kotex (http://www.kotex.com/na/products/tampons.asp) decided it was time to revamp those ugly old purpley-blue boxes. In a flash of pure genius they tapped into the very essence of womanhood. Fragrant... Lovely... Delicate...... Floral! Yes! Flowers! Now which particular flower do you think they would go with?
You guessed it.
Tulips.
:|
Uh... you seem angry or outraged or else you wouldn't be posting this? LoL

Weren't you banned?! :D
Shut up, you. :p
Maciej: Tulips, man.

Tooo-lips...
*sigh*
The larger question: what could possibly motivate a man to become so interested in tampons, that he investigates packaging schemes and floral patterns... and then posts on a public internet forum about the tampons? These are the mysteries that grab my imagination and never let go. :D
709, my advice to you is to drink more beer and while you are doing so notice carefully the labeling and ask yourself: who is it this beer label was meant for? For it is there that the truth will reveal itself....
They should totally use The Cure's Bloodflowers for the music. The lyrics fit perfectly for a tampon ad:
Between you and me
Its hard to ever really know who to trust
How to think what to believe
Between me and you
Its hard to ever really know who to choose
How to feel what to do
Never fade
Never die
You give me flowers of love
Always fade
Always die
I let fall
Flowers of blood
I need to go into advertising.
OK, that doesn't really fit, but I don't care. It's what I have to work with. :p
LoL, well I mean I guess it is pretty bad marketing strategy, I'm surprised none of the interns at the marketing company brought it up during a meeting or something...
Mur! No surprise to find you here in the feminine hygiene section...*cough* (http://forums.applenova.com/showthread.php?postid=241216#post241216). You should definitely go into marketing... publications like Redbook and Elle could use your savvy!
Carry on... :D
I've been banned for less. ;)

An O'Keeffe painting would not be inappropriate.

Tooo-lips...
*sigh*
Shouldn't that be 'two-lips'?
I love how they're blood red, too.
Isn't this a bit like putting a dung beetle on a box of Depends?
Edit: yay! Post # 137,000 on the boards! :D

Maybe 709 is a vampire?
I wonder if vampires get boners when they see a tampon ad.

Nah man, but that's why tampons have strings... so vampires can use them as tea-bags. :p
Ah, the gutter. I love it here.

lmao
Only Murbot could conjure such a thing. Even if he is afraid of Fantasy Hockey....

I'm outta here. I have a feeling this is gonna get ugly long before it serves any real purpose.
Ah, the gutter. I love it here.
Get out of the gutter.
You're blocking my light.
Man, that'd be like tappin' a keg for a vampire, eh? Though maybe it's like wild animals in captivity... they don't like handouts. They'd rather hunt than be handed a big armful of meat.
Red red wiiiiiiiiiine.....
Isn't there some saying, like "you can swim in the red sea but you must never drink from it"?
*shrug*
I remember back in college some guy was telling us how he earned his "red wings". I was like "what the fuck is that, some homo-erotic Detroit fan club?" Turns out it had more of a perverted connotation than I could've conjured at that time. Personally, I'm not all about the red love unless a shower is involved. Zero cleanup. :D

Buahahahah! I just found a new away message mur, thanks... I'm surprised I've never heard that before...
I thought it was a real sailor also sails the red sea.
So what's that say about Moses?
DRIVING THAT BUS, BABY!

That is a beautiful painting, thanks for posting.
That Kotex box is beautiful 709. Don't let them cause you to feel bad. You seem to be a very nice young lady. ;)

Well it looks from the site like they've got a few more flowers to offer...
Cactus Dahlias, http://www.kotex.com/na/images/products/pkg_mxww.gif ummm... for prickly chicks? ;)
Orchidshttp://www.kotex.com/na/images/products/pkg_utww.gif, for dangling red flowers... :|
Kaffirs http://www.kotex.com/na/images/products/pkg_ldun_d.gif didn't they watch Lethal Weapon 2 ? :\
See? I love this kind of shit.
Tulips for tampons: We've all seen those time-lapse films of a flower bud gently opening up to soak up the....sun.
Kaffirs for pantiliners: Hmm. I'm not quite there yet, but I might have some tiny light spotting.
Orchids for thin pads: See how the flowers are separate yet all in a group? Good image for medium spotting and light flow.
Dahlia for maxi pads: I am about to set off fireworks of blood between my thighs.
Genious.

http://www.engrish.com/image/engrish/its-so-late-soap.jpg karaoke soap, maybe?
http://www.engrish.com/image/engrish/god-jesus.jpg who knew he was a wind-up robot.

I wonder if vampires get boners when they see a tampon ad.
I used to know a really disgusting joke about lesbian vampires, but I've forgotten it.
EDIT: Google is my friend. I think this was it. It's not quite as bad as I remember, but still...
Q: What does one lesbian vampire say to another lesbian vampire?
A: See ya same time next month
