Now that Gmail iOS has Push Notifications I wonder why Apple does not allow Sparrow iOS to have Push Notifications for Sparrow iOS.

Does iOS Sparrow implements it in a different way?

Apple does allow them to use push notifications, and they do plan on implementing that. It comes with a significant overhead, which is why they'll charge an annual fee.

The problem I have with the Gmail app is that it doesn't support multiple accounts, so I would still have to use the normal Mail app for my work email. Sparrow is nice, but no push.

I've used an app called PushMail for a few years now that gives you push notifications for any email address. I use that set up for my Gmail account and have loved it.

Lack of push notifications is my only complaint.

Set it up as an exchange account. I got push with my gmail account since the day I got my phone. Look the intertube for it

The only downside is that search will work only on local files, not server side. But 1 got like a month worth of mail on my phone so the rare occasion I need to, I use the browser...

Interesting. Never knew that. Might have to give that a shot. Thanks for the info.
