But it was the best vacation of my life, I do have to say. My first time drinking rum, my one and only time I've ever had something halfway resembling a tan, great seafood nearly every night, beautiful ocean, beach, sunrises, etc. I was young, thin, bright-eyed, high on life, etc. |

I discovered today after sharing this recent link at work that there is a whole subreddit for "FloridaMan"! I had no idea it was such a big thing that it even has a following!
Louis L'Amour, “To make democracy work, we must be a nation of participants, not simply observers. One who does not vote has no right to complain.” Visit our archived Minecraft world! | Maybe someday I'll proof read, until then deal with it. |

I wonder if Dorian might pop in to give us some sense of what's going on in Paris tonight after the Charlie Hebdo shootings. Just terrible.

I saw the screengrab of the asshats right before they executed the Paris police officer. Such a blatant disregard for life and authority.

Just read on Boing Boing that Charlie Hebdo is going to push back by printing their next issues in one million copies compared to the ususal 60.000. It could probably go and become a collectors item, especially if they make it a sort of "greatest hits" issue.
Fuck it! I'll buy one if I can find one. It's the least one can do to stick it to the islamists. |

I will say it is surprising how much it affects you to be in the same city as something like this, even if it makes no practical difference. If it happens in someone else’s city (or country) it’s definitely less personal. I hope the two fugitives try to take over some remote farmhouse for shelter and get a dose of their own medicine from some mad French farmer with a 10-gauge. Would be a fitting end. … engrossed in such factional acts as dreaming different dreams. |

You know absolutely nothing is going on when local newspapers start reporting random musings on Twitter feeds of porn stars:
Popular porn star Mia Khalifa loves San Antonio-based Whataburger so much, she wants to own a franchise The gold is in their photo carousel. Last edited by Ryan : 2015-01-10 at 11:54. |

Ironic. A young woman who makes a career out of giving head is in possible danger of losing her own if she's not careful.
Perhaps if she plays dumb and claims she can't read (and has no desire to learn how), that'll buy her a little mercy/lenience? |

I think this Reddit comment best describes how that story came to be published:

Unbelievable!
All this over a stupid phone. Maybe he could have tried calling the police and pressing charges. Instead, he sends a clear message: "I am not fit to live amongst civilized humans." A bullet to the head is the only viable solution—after being forced to endure what he put this woman through. Instead, we get to pay for his "rehabilitation" in a prison filled with gangster-thugs just like him. - AppleNova is the best Mac-users forum on the internet. It just doesn't stop with these clowns.
Secret Service investigates agents after White House crash Two agents—including the deputy in charge of presidential protection—drunkenly crash a car into a security barricade at the White House. Is the cast of The Hangover now running that agency? WTF is going on? |

You left out the part where they either ran over or nearly ran over a package that a woman threw at other Secret Service agents while claiming it was a bomb. The allegedly intoxicated agents drove through police tape and either came close to or actually did run over the package. The woman who threw it hit 2 Secret Service agents with her car while trying to get away.
It's like the plot to a really bad Rob Schneider comedy. Don't bother pointing out that there is no good Rob Schneider comedy. And please forgive the New York Post link, I read this in the Chicago Tribune this morning but can't find the article. Link. Edit: Made quote instead of link. What are you, new? "The saddest part about South Dakota's marketing campaign? I'd still rather die on Mars." ahaha
The accompanying website (YouCanLiveInSouthDakota.com) feels so desperate. JORBS JORBS JORBS and "Young people live here, we promise!" And the shortest state for commute times? No shit, the largest city has 150,000 people. But commute times don't seem to be a concern for the young people they're targeting, considering the rate of urbanization. The whole site seems kind of cringey and devoid of content…just like South Dakota. and i guess i've known it all along / the truth is, you have to be soft to be strong Last edited by Robo : 2015-04-25 at 02:45. |
