Back in the thread-that-cleft-asunder the old AI, there was talk of a limited run of t-shirts. Where are they?!?

This is the subject that never quite dies and goes away. I wouldn't mind a T-shirt that looked like the top of this page ("appleinsider", round holes, three circles, maybe a catchy tagline, etc.).

But I ain't gonna hold my breath on it...

i was thinking about that the other day. i had to pimp my ass out in all kinds of unclean, unimaginable and some rather imaginative ways just to find out about the shirt, and then when the revolution finally hit, it's all like "we were busy fighting the government and shit, man, to make tshirts." well, no one actually said that, but in my head i heard something like it. so, uh, send em out already, man. cheks in the [e]mail.

maybe they are waiting until the potential name change is complete, so the lawyers will have less to work over.

For those that don't know, people are referring to the ever so quick and dirty mockup attached below. I'll see if I can make some headway in regards to it today, though, since we're all here, I would consider adding more names to it.

It is with great regret that we say our farewells to Jack, who passed away on May 28th, 2005. Jack, you will be missed by all

how about appleinsider.com with the .com "x"ed out and .org handwritten above it

nah, just joking.....

you could do "Confirmed: Appleinsider.org" or "Join the Revolucion: Appleinsider.org" etc

or have a photo of bot's rug rat with "appleinsider dot com sucks!" and then "Join the Revolucion" etc on the back

I might like to order 3 or 4. What is the whole size range and how much are they? I have one friend who's 6'4", and I'd definitely like to get one for him.

Oh, okay. (Duh)

Well then, put me down for two mediums. I like'm baggy.

Gotta have two - a spare for when the first gets trashed by the dryer, etc.

Imagine walking around wearing that and someone asking you about it. You know, a real, fleshy human. "There was, like, this totally mean Internet guy named Kasper and, like, oh my god he totally ate babies and stuff."

Put Brad's poem on the back!

i say we put groverat's name on the shirt...maybe even the first name....

how often do you explain a shirt to somebody??

and how often would you answer??

and even if you did answer, wouldn't you just say..."it's an internet site...yes, i'm a geek"

maybe on the back we add....the official site of UT Austin geeks

No shit.

I'm sorry guys, there is no fucking way in hell I am ever wearing an AppleInsider.anything shirt. It's too embarassing to even mention this place to real live humans that I meet, let alone wearing a bloody shirt!

Yeah, but the 'skull and crossbones' image is cool; and the 'revolucion' could refer to a million different things.

I don't think this place is embarrassing at all. What is there to be embarrassed about? "Everyone" we know is 'online', at one site or another. I think anything to do with apple is pretty cool myself. But then, I'm incredibly naive, so maybe I have an unbalanced perspective of things.

Hey, you could wear the AI t-shirt to bed on those cold, Canadian winter nights. Or get a little one for Amy to wear to bed.

Pro Go...NO!

The revolution is over, and it was not televised.
(And nobody won either...)

The t-shirt needs to be put on hold until the site rebranding is done.

Then the shirt needs to pitch the site for what it is - the best forum site for Mac users and rumour-mongers.

And ditch the pirate thing, the 70's are over and Apple doesn't fly that flag anymore.

This isn't like the only shirt we're ever going to print. The "Revolucion" shirt was supposed to be a limited run, one time print. Even after we rebrand, we will undoubtedly be producing multiple designs for that.

It is with great regret that we say our farewells to Jack, who passed away on May 28th, 2005. Jack, you will be missed by all
