Don't you mean 10/23? (Or 23/10, if you prefer.)

That dude totally looks like me after 96 hours working straight. I've seen those lids, and they aren't pretty.

Yeah, why change the order all of a sudden? Is there a reason?

I think the one on the left is zoomed in a bit more? And to be honest I don't recognize the rightmost one at all. Is that a new picture entirely? I don't remember there being such a dark grey speed hole before.

I'm just glad the middle one is where it should have always been. Much more prominent now.

I think I got it. The middle moved to the left and the right moved to the middle, meaning the rightmost picture is...new?

Out with the old, in with the new? Is that the theme, like for the election? I wonder if Brad's just fucking with us.

Yes, well. Moving on.

If, like me, any of you received little or no explanation of evolution in school, you may be interested to read last year's The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution, which is an excellent primer and is now available in a trade paperback edition for under ten dollars.

Good grief.

Is anyone here going to have toast, jelly beans and popcorn as part of their Thanksgiving?

I'm really tempted to. We have pretzel sticks. We have bread for toast. We have a bag of Bertie Bott's. Alas, I don't think we have any popcorn. So close!

My sister just bought LEGO Harry Potter, which is what we'll be enjoying this Thanksgiving. It's crazy fun.

"Well excuuuuse me Princess"...but I think it's Zelda's 25th anniversary!

Happy 25th, Zelda. Even if your games kind of sucked until 1991. *ducks*

Hey, you try telling me that Zelda I and II have held up as well as, say, Super Mario Bros.

Link to the Past feels like two decades newer. Like, Zelda 1 could have been the "high resolution" Atari 7200 sequel to Adventure, while LttP could have been made last year, on the DS. That's how it feels.

Not saying Zelda 1 wasn't important, or nothin'. ("You mean you can turn the Nintendo off and the game saves your place?!") Just that LttP was where the series really got its bearings. If it weren't for LttP, Zelda could have been one of those NES series that just sort of vanished, like Kid Icarus, until Nintendo brought it back as a first-person slasher on the Wii or something.

I mean, Zelda 2, what was up with that?

But anyway. The first Zelda game gave us the Zelda rap, and for that I will be eternally grateful.

The Nintendo Entertainment System. Your parents help you hook it up.

The online/offline icons are the best part. Hatless Link (from Minish Cap, right?) is so cute.
