Setting up my brother-in-law's account on their new iMac. He's not synced his iPhone in quite a while (and the old PC they were using hasn't been working in ages).
Long story short, he's got about 1,900 songs and about 50+ third-party apps on his iPhone that I do not want to lose/erase. How do I tell this new iMac/iTunes to draw this media off his iPhone on that initial connect? It feels like I want to establish this iMac/iTunes as the new "go to" syncing location for his iPhone (I do), but I'm just not seeing an obvious way to go about this. How is this handled? I want to copy everything off his iPhone (I've already imported his photos just fine and his new iCloud is set up and working fine with his mail, contacts, etc. all syncing like they should). I'm just hitting a wall on the music and apps...getting them from this iPhone that's never been docked/synced to this iMac/iTunes before. Help! |
