Thanks Kick. Yah when it happens I have to basically unplug it from power then plug it back in and it boots normally. Seems like an intermittent issue at this point. Like "if you sleep it more than x times in succession during the week, it will stop waking until you pull the power."
Turtle: wireless to the AppleTV (signal strong, new router, etc), HDMI to the set. I suppose it could be a bad cable but seems unlikely. The only parallel event I can recall in recent months is our DirecTV DVR (which was using the same cable) occasionally froze during playback of recorded data but it was old and about 80+ % filled with stuff being removed and added all the time. Thinking tht was most likely a bad HDD as it started churning all the time even when we turned it off. So most likely not a bad cable. ...into the light of a dark black night. |
