In a case of "no good deed goes unpunished", I've cracked the screen on my late '08 15" MBP.
LCD still works fine, the crack is only in the surface glass. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reputable repair place? iResQ lists their repair cost at $139 plus shipping both ways but I know nothing about them, or anyone else offering this service (Google mentioned quite a few repair places). I'm not in a mad rush to do this as the screen still works and I don't have $200 I want to part with today (flat tire on my car turned into a $700 repair ) but this will definitely bug me until I fix it. Thanks for any suggestions you may provide. |

Oh man, tons of views but no replies. No one here has had to deal with this before?

I'm sorry to hear this. No, I don't have any experience with that sort of issue.
