Dear sirs,

I keep having intermittent problems getting the forums to load on my iPad. It says that the server is unavailable. Is this a known bug?

I look forward to a prompt response from a representative of AppleNova.

It's not just your iPad. I was seeing loading errors about an hour ago on my iMac, running Chrome. The forum server must be having the hiccups, since everything else on *.applenova.com was working.

To add something to this, I do see that DreamHost is still listed with the NS for some reason. Maybe they were still the backup. If the Linode NS1 and NS2 were unavailable for some reason we would certainly have DNS issues finding the domain since the NS with DreamHost has no record for AN now.

There may be a 'forum-level' reason for issues that are arising. It probably has to do with a location move made by applenova forums.

I mentioned in the mod forum a problem that *I* was having, and thought I was the only person having problems. And then I saw this thread.

So, I hope some of the admins will be online tonight, because they are the only ones who can fix these issues. Be patient with your various devices. As I said, this is probably a forum-level issue.

Actually, I've also seen issue with getting to mcmaps.applenova.com which makes this seem more like a DNS issue as opposed to forum or even server level. If the server holds all DNS entries then it very well could be server level issue.

This could very well be a server level issue.

I just emailed a couple of admins, so I hope the Cavalry will soon be riding in to save the day.

If not tonight, since it's already late in Adminville, then perhaps tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up. I nuked the third DNS setting, it wasn't supposed to be in there, must have autofilled since I only had two listed.

I was gonna say, I was noticing some DNS weirdness trying to get here, thought it was just my settings.

No issues here in NZ. Given our technical prowess this DNS issue will probably hit us in 2013.

However something I have noticed is that the smoking man blinks in and out when making a post on my iPad. Or am I doing it wrong?
