I felt like I should make a post about it. It was mixed berry. It was also delicious. This is also hilarious to me in my slaphappy 3AM state.

What sort of random things does everyone do when they stay up and get slaphappy?

Look at replacement Camelbak bladders to wear under their cardboard armor.

Question asked, question answered.

I found a bottle of Kahlua behind a bunch of teh "show" wine bottles* at the place I'm working for right now. Not sure who's it is or who hid it, but I tapped it tonight ... hard.

So it goes and all that, but I'm pretty excited to see who gets the side-eye in the next few days.

*I was actually looking for whiskey. Go figure I'd stumble upon Kahlua of all things.

So it goes.

Is Popsicle a euphemism or something? Because unless it is or unless you're high, you're crazy...

Me? I just had some turkey and Swiss cheese roll ups with my son because he's like me - wake up in the middle of the night and there's no way in hell he's getting back to sleep.

tori -- that was apparently the state of affairs for most of humanity's existence -- midnight waking periods where people would go out and be social.

I've heard that before. I don't know about most others, but if I wake up between 3-5, I can't get back to bed. It's maddening.

Tori - I was still awake after Minecrafting, and I saw there were popsicles in the freezer, and I got really giddy and giggly about it, as I'm wont to do over just about anything when I've been awake for 20+ hours. No euphemism, wasn't high - just had one of those moments of overabundant joy upon discovering an unopened box of popsicles.

Got to love those random moments of joy for no particular reason.

You found a whole box?
At 3 AM?
And you only ate one?

Yeah.... no, you definitely weren't high.

I haven't been slaphappy for a while, unfortunately. And I do have a box of popsicles in the freezer, but they turned out to have chunks of real strawberries in them, which 'sounds' like they should be good, but the chunks were actually kind of off-putting. Not sure why, but they were. Maybe it's because they were smashed chunks.

When I'm up at 3:00a.m., I take the opportunity of watching a morning talk show on MSNBC called Joe in the Morning, with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzesinski. They have lots of guests on, all at the same time, with new ones rotating in and out every half hour. Joe was a Republican congressman for a while, but now is pretty moderate, and when the Republicans do dumb things, he calls them on it, which is pretty unheard of for a Republican.

I don't think the other side is exactly famous for it either, C. Pretty "unheard of" all around, which is part of the problem.

I don't really *do* sleep, so I watch "way too early/morning joe" quite a bit. I like it. Even if it's just noise in the background as I'm doing something else.

Not really a popsicle guy. Freezie-Pops are my thing. I eat shit-tons of them, and have to buy them in 100-packs.

2AM chili ice soap.

Try it the next time you're up late.

I don't even gave a clue what that might be, but from the sounds of it imma bit scared it would burn my sensitive butthole but chill it at the same time.

Can't say I'm not tempted.... dunno though. Kind've already went through something similar - not really anxious to relive that.

I like a good cherry Popsicle out of nowhere (like if I'm somewhere and one is offered/available).

I used to make my own little "juice pops" from that old 70's Saturday morning between-show short where you fill an ice tray your favorite drink, stretch Saran wrap over it, poke toothpicks through and freeze.

A while later, little cube-shaped "ice pops". I'd make them with black cherry Kool-Aid.

YouTube "Sunshine on a Stick". Just watched it for the first time in well over 30 years and was stunned that I remembered the words to everything he sang/spoke.

I couldn't tell you what I had for lunch yesterday, but goofy stuff like this is etched into my brain for almost four decades. Go figure.

EDIT: I'm lying here, my mouth is watering and I'm seriously contemplating a midnight grocery store run for black cherry Kool-Aid and Saran wrap...

This and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZqI5b5wGA4

What's happened to the poor world since?!

It's 8:53 here in the office and I've got a perfect bowl of fresh, peeled pink grapefruit. I've always liked/loved grapefruit, but what a pain to prepare and eat at home. The cafeteria at work has big bowl of perfectly prepared "meat" that I can scoop into; I imagine 30 elves working on this since 3 am. Typically I get about two grapefruits worth (almost every day) for about three bucks to accompany half a ham and cheese sandwich from home. TMI? Wrong thread? Sorry, I slept well last night.

Tonight, it was a 1:30AM Tim Horton's run that ended up lasting until 4. I may have devoured all of their cheddar cheese bagels. <_< >_>

Omg! It never occurred to me that you might be a Republican. I think I'm an Independent now, because when I renewed my driver's license, a question on the renewal form asked if I wanted to be on the Permanent Early Ballot list, and I said yes, and then it said I'd have to register to vote again, so I signed up to be an Independent, after all those years as a Democrat. If I had had more time to think about it, I probably wouldn't have changed. I don't like making quick decisions. I like to mull things over until I've thought it well through... and 'then' I decide. That way, I seldom have regrets.

I like it too; and, oh yeah, it *is* called Morning Joe, isn't it? I don't know where I got Joe in the Morning. Tsk.

When I took a freighter to Brazil once, my friend and I ate with the ship's officers. We could order orange juice, and the ship's steward would squeeze it fresh from countless oranges... big tall glasses of freshly-squeezed orange juice. Mmmm, oh yeah. So massively delish. smack smack and double smack!
