Something NEW, dammit.

Oh, and maybe it could use Thunderstick.

Oooh..... If Apple can make it go together with that satisfying movie metal socket snick/click sound, so that I could slap together my Mac Pro while sitting shirtless at a kitchen table illuminated by a single bare bulb with a cigarette dangling from one corner of my mouth and a look of grim determination, then I am sold.

That which doesn't kill you weakens you slightly and makes you less able to cope until you're completely incapacitated

We've seen the future of computing.

It is modular, and it is deadly from half a mile out.

Why?

I'd love to have a compute monster for my research. I don't need anything but an integrated GPU. A current Mac Pro is a big waste of space, money, and design, for my needs... except for the CPUs and RAM.

Don't confuse graphics-designer- or video-pro with every-pro. We all have our own specialized needs. Me, I need zero slots.

I'd be really happy with a small Mac Pro that had the fastest CPUs, integrated GPU, SSD and loads of RAM, 32-128GB of such, and no other internal expansion except for some drives.
