i recently got myself a new keyboard.
i previously had a DE_ch but not i have a EN_int. i try to install gentoo, which previously was no problem but now i have run into some problems. nano (the stupid editor one is required to use during installation) crashes. this might or might not be related so i go on to the next problem. with alt-fX one can change to another terminal. this works fine when i use an external keyboard but with the powerbook keyboard it doesnt. maybe someone can enlighten me about mac-keyboards. do they have some drivers (that is for the build-in keyboard) that are installed onboard that is in the bios or such? that might sound strange but then again why would a keycombination work on one keyboard but not the other? also before i got myself the new keyboard i never had any problems whatsoever. strange this is. jonas |
