Hi all..

Ok.. I have been struggling on with halo and X2 and other games for which I really should buy a joystick..

Does anyone have a recommendation of a good joystick for the Mac?

Do all USB PeeCee joysticks work, or do you need to get one with the required drivers? I am guessing any will work, but as with mice you may lose some of the extra button features without a specific driver... Is that correct?

Any help from psycho gamers would be appreciated as I feel myself drifting into a period of unashamed space combat and trading with X2....

You don't have one?

Funny, I thought joysticks were a standard issue amongst males....

Google is your friend http://www.google.com/search?q=macin...&ie=ISO-8859-1 I can't help with recommendations but sounds like MacAddict has done some reviews of joysticks. May want to check them out.

On a tangent, www.x-arcade.com has a joystick console mimicking real arcade, so you can relive mr. Pacman on a mac. Guess mac is made for gaming after all. :smokey:

I'm not sure how well a joystick would work playing Halo. You might want to think about a gamepad instead. I'm pretty sure Logitech has something.

Oh, and you'll need to get USB Overdrive. It's very handy at managing your gaming peripherals.

Hi sunrain,

Thanks for that.. The USB Overdrive was exactly the kind of info I was looking for...
