All beer is great, but some beers are greater than others. I greatly value the ability to be able to actually order a beer at a local eatery and have it be available, so that leaves out the seasonal beers like Samuel Adams Octoberfest or Budweiser Brew Masters Private Reserve, both of which pretty much define what I look for in a beer.

I order Michelob Amber Bock and accept Samuel Adams Boston Lager if the Amber Bock isn't available. If they don't have that, I'll pretty much drink whatever they have that's dark.

I'm a total hophead though. I need to find some of their IPA and see if it's appropriately hoppy.
It was fun…once! I had to work at getting it all down, though. And, whew! What a buzz!

I can't remember, but it was funny as hell. And it also lasted about a week. I do remember seeing that "Bring some home for the wives!" billboard. Fan. Tastic!

Good stuff!

Here's another good one. Terminator Stout from McMenamin's Pubs in Oregon. Woot!

I've been drinking a lot of St. Peter's Organic Ale (rebranded to English Ale in the USA (?)) lately as well. It's a great beer. Nice full taste, low ABV (good for a daytime beer), and an aroma that'll knock your socks off. It's a bit on the expensive side (5-7 dollars for a 500ml bottle) but lately I'm liking it quite a bit.

So it goes.

That right there is some good beer. Big Sky makes good beer!

The last time I had a Moose Drool, I took a pee and produced one of these:

The most heavenly beer in the whole world is Wadworth 6X. And I'm prepared to come to blows if required to prove my devotion.

Find it, buy it, drink it. Now.

Hexenbrau is my all time favorite

Corsendonk is also a very tasty beer

Tripel Karmeliet is another beer that I just can't do without

Dear GSpotter:

Please click on this Widmer link to see...yes, you guessed it... *lemony goodness* - as recommended by the brewing company itself.

Also, here.

MMMMmmmm good!

However, the most delicious beer I have ever tasted was whatever they had on tap at a beer garden I visited in Munich. Omg... what rapture!

Probably http://www.augustiner-braeu.de/

In fact, that is the ONLY beer in the world, the rest is... well, something else.
If you ask someone from Munich, at least.

"LAGERBIER HELL"?

Lordy, if that's *hell*, then take me now! I'm ready to be cast into the fiery pit.

I think what made the beer I drank there SO extra delicious was that it was on tap, and not out of a bottle. Probably came fresh and direct right from the brewery, with no need for preservatives of any kind. Mmmmm, boy!

I second this beer. Had it the one night I stayed in Munich and it was super tasty. It's unfortunate that 5 years later, I found it at Central Market in Austin, TX. By unfortunate, I mean I was moving out of state the next week and only picked up a couple bottles. When I go back, I'm checking for it.

Hercules Double IPA
Good stuff. I'm a fan of the high alcohol beers lately. I like the kick.

You certainly do know your beers. I'm having one and I love it! It does feel very refreshing just swoshing it around in the mouth.

I'd also like to add that I don't think beers are something to be consumed in "large quantity"; as if it was solely to get shitfaced like thus:

It's supposed to be *enjoyed*, and there's one more thing. A good beer doesn't give you a hangover.

I had a pint of Old Rasputin from a cask not too long ago. It was probably the best pint of stout I've ever had.
