I was wondering if the apple airport express's usb port can handle other usb devices in addition to a printer. Basically, I have an external hard drive that I want to access from my powerbook while on my own network, but I don't want to tie my powerbook down with the usb cable.

Can I plug my external hard drive into the airport express and access that drive remotely? Since this would be the only reason I would buy an airport express, its essential I know this works. Or, perhaps someone could suggest a different device?

Even better, hook up the USB drive to another computer on the network. Then, just mount it as a network drive.

That Linksys product sounds great, except that I have to reformat my Hard Drive. Is there anything that allows me to keep it as Fat32 so I can read it from both my Mac and Win machines?

I found one: DNS-120 D-Link Express EtherNetwork Network Storage Adapter. Has anyone tried this on a Mac?
