I get the error, "You cannot Install MAC OS X on this volume. MAC OS X cannot start up from this volume." Anyone know what I need to do?

If I'm not mistaken, it must be installed on an external FireWire hard drive, partitioned such that an HFS volume is at the beginning of the drive (well, I'm fairly sure about the first req, not so much about the second...).
If the drive is brand-new (or you don't mind reformatting it), use Disk Utility to repartition the drive with one or more Mac OS Extended volumes, and see if it lets you install it then. |
