Hey guys, I'm stumped on a problem with my lady's iBook (G4 1.25Ghz, running 10.4.2, no third party crap).
The lappy starts up and goes through the motions (initial screen with OS X in a white box and status bar, but it never makes it to the log in screen. It goes to a blue screen and hangs. I've done the usual (permissions, PRAM, NVRAM, fsck, etc.) to no avail. I'm all out of ideas. Thoughts? I've seen this happen when a system update hangs and is rebooted at an incomplete stage. Has that happened here recently?
