I am on the road and my MacBook HD crashed. It's totally dead. I have a full Time Machine backup on an external disk, but no Leopard disk with me.

My buddy here has a 10.4 disc I could boot from, but I am pretty sure that does me no good.

Anyway to do this w/o a Leopard disc?

THANKS!

For a complete restore to Leopard, no way that I know of without Leopard install media. If you just want some of the files back, you can pull them from TM by hand.

No big deal. I went to the local university campus store and bought a copy for $69.

Worth every penny to have another copy and my HD back.

I gotta say, Time Machine is pretty damn amazing.
