Yesterday, they seemed overloaded. Today, their hostname has been re-pointed to the AI home page. Are the forums going to be killed?

That was my first thought as well. They were down for an extrordinarily long time for the update, so it must have been something major.

I hope they didn't whack things out too much...there's still a lot of good posts over there.

I know a lot of the backend stuff has been seeing a lot of security updates. Probably rolling it all into one giant update.

I don't post there any more, but I do read the forums from time to time. I hope they're upgrading to vB3 because it's so much better.

Maybe we should post anon news 'stories'.

I did find it sad to see that the mods and admins had no warning about the last outage, and my guess is that they have no warning but this one.

Anybody have any idea when it might come back online?

Slightly OT, one of the new (after the La Revolucion) mods at AI makes me never want to go back. I do browse it often, yet rarely make any posts. But other than that, I hope it's all just a matter of software upgrades and they will be back online soon.

It's just as much a mystery to me this time, too. As Alcimedes said, there are some changes being made to the machinery. The timing and frequency of them is always a surprise!

Wow. You all are still around, huh?

It just hasn't been the same over at AI since La Revolucion. It's really eerie looking around here at all the names I once knew but have been gone for so long.

I have to admit that I don't even browse around here. Nothing against any of you, but I'd prefer to just keep tabs on one forum, and that's more than enough for me. AI just ended up being the one after my haitus a while back.

Maybe I'll try to peek in on you all more often. It is good to see you are all doing well.

I don't have any news about this last outage. I try to get some althought. A big upgrade (to vb 3) was supposed to came. I don't know if it's the real explanation.

Still down as of almost 10am central time. Very odd. If it is a vB upgrade, I hope everything goes well. I recall them having huge problems with upgrades in the past.
