I just got 6.0 and noticed that they had taken some things out of it that I like before and because I wont be buying videos, I wanted to get 5.0 again, but I can't seem to find anywhere to download iTunes 5. Could someone kindly direct me toward someplace to get it?

Thanks!

Got your original install discs? It might be in one of the .pkg files, depending on which OS you bought.

Or there's always p2p...

Actually, iTunes 5 is even uglier than 6, IMO. Now iTunes 4 on the other hand...

Huh? Where did the 'just for you'-thingy go in ITMS?
Strange?

What? This thread is about sparky's quest to find iTunes 5.0, not the recent changes in the iTunes Music Store. iTMS loads the same regardless of iTunes version.

Thanks guys... Actually i meant to say 4.9, but 5 will be fine too. I just liked the way the old one looks. They also got rid of the old videos page in 6.0 that they had before. And the videos they used to have aren't downloadable on 6.0.. so nothing major.. just...

You've got a nice archive of iTunes versions there, Staph!

Thanks again!

Again, the iTMS loads the same regardless of version. You know it's downloading every page dynamically, right? It's just a fancy built-in web browser that loads XML instead of HTML.

iTunes 6 didn't remove the videos page from the iTMS; an updated iTMS removed the videos page from itself. I haven't even installed iTunes 6 on this computer and I see all the changes to the iTMS in my old version of iTunes.

Not mine, sad to say. It's the Australian Academic and Research Network mirror archive.

Go back up one level for more Apple software installer goodness. There's a lot of stuff there.
