Can someone who knows how to complie for Mac please do this for me? I don't know how to compile and I need this app to use it with my Garmin GPS.

Try this:
Mac GPSBabel

I think the Applescript in the zipped src may have some problems, so I'm not sure if the gui version works. But the compiled gpsbabel should work from the command line.
