for the past few days mail has not been able to get well, mail from aol. I used service assistant again today to try to fix it, but no luck. Is anybody else having problems?

I don't mean to be rude or make this sound like I'm insulting you, because I'm not at all, but...

You may be one of the last people on these forums that uses AOL, in fact, you may actually be the only one. The only suggestion that I can give you is to check your POP (or IMAP, not sure which AOL uses) settings and make sure they're still kosher.

Come waste your time with me

Have you tried Gmail? I've had no problems with Gmail's Mail integration.

I've seen some weird behavior from Mail with AOL accounts. Sometimes, if you quit and restart Mail, it "syncs" better with AOL's IMAP servers.

Really? Your IP address suggests otherwise. Do you have a DSL connection?

The longer you keep AOL, the longer you'll have problems. It's really that simple.

Your DSL is actually being provided by a well-known DSL provider, not by AOL. You'd be better off to deal with them directly instead of with AO-Hell.

Use www.whatismyip.com and www.dnsstuff.com to find out the details for yourself, or PM me if you have other questions.
