I have a quark document I need to open, and it is making my copy of quark quit. I'm not sure if it's because I have quark passport, but I tried it on two different computers and both computers made quark quit

I was wondering if others could try and open it and if you can open it resave it and hopefuly it will work. If not, is there any way to safe it to another format that I would be able to work with it in? Like convert it to a InDesign file?

Thanks in advance, I'm really in a pickle, because this document isn't exactly the quickest thing to make.

I have several clients who are happily using InDesign to open Quark documents.

I tried to open it in QXP Passport 6 but my copy also quit. IDCS also won't open it. Is it a Quark 6 document? Seems like the document is broken. I hope you have a backup of an earlier version somewhere ...

Yes, but only Quark 4, you cannot open Quark 5 and 6 files with InDesign.

Any hope quark 5 can open quark 6 documents?

Yeah, it's a quark six document, heck we made it in the same quark 6 passport that it crashes. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to remake it. *sniffles*

I guess that the bright side is I can remake it in InDesign, and get quark off of my computer.

No way, Quark 5 only opens older versions.

Found this at the Quark online support:

Take a look at Section 1: Troubleshooting document-level problems. Maybe you have a problem with a damaged font or picture.

Good luck!
