Here's a good one:

Escapa!

Very simple. Just click and drag the red square, and make sure not to let it touch the walls or any of the blue pieces. See how long you can last. My best time is 19.029 seconds, so far, but I have a feeling I'll be playing a lot more of this...

EDIT: 21.212!

Regarding the title of this thread:

"YAAFGT (yet another addictive flash game thread)"

You realize that's all JavaScript with no Flash at all, right?

I was stubborn and wouldn't stop until I got at least 18 seconds. I don't recommend anyone else try this while using a trackpad. Or maybe it's that I suck.

It's all just magic to me. Besides, "flash game" has almost become a colloquial expression, like "kleenex" (not capitalized).

Yeah, thanks for that Luca. Now I can't make the kids lunch!! Something happens at about 12 seconds which throws me into severe panic.

Oooo, new record.

0.047 seconds.

Edit= I beat the pulp out of my old record, and I screenshot it for proof.

0.016 seconds

I did once got a 0 second, but I think it was a fluke as opposed to my hand accelerating to light speed (which would have disrupted the earth's orbit).

Saw this game about a year ago. My best time was well over 200 seconds, as this game is very much dependent on the CPU.

I think 0.016 is the shortest possible time. I got exactly that, and I got 0.047 on several occasions as I was trying. It seems that whatever determines how long you survive isn't super accurate at the really low end because I kept getting the exact same times over and over.

Yeah, I see what you mean; however, there were occasionally variations now and then, so it works, but not very accurate.

Old PowerBook G4 Ti @ 550MHz. It has never handled the Java games well. Stick Cricket is another one I love but find so frustrating.

EDIT - whatever/however it runs ... aside from my l33t skillz the slowness of the computer is obviously accounting for something.

In case anyone was wondering.

You survived 22.299 seconds !

I might have been able to go a little longer if it weren't so late.

Bumpedy bump bump

Just ran across this one: Amazingly addictive, challenging and fun.

http://www.kiteretsu.jp/on/tontie/

Somewhat based on whack-a-mole... but it gets more intelligent than that.

Can anyone tell me how to download the "falling sand/oil/water/salt" game locally to my machine? I love that thing.

Figured out how to "save" the Java game for the falling sand.
Download the .jar file and the HTML file. Customize filepath as necessary. Not sure about doing it locally, I uploaded to a directory on one of my own sites and can play whenever I feel like it!
