Hi guys,
I have a midi file that I need to speed up and slow down because we are running a psych experiment that requires them. Also, is there any way to find out the beats per minute of a midi song? Thanks. |

Use GarageBand.
When you open or drag the song into GB, there is a little meter at the bottom with the time and tempo. ![]() Click on the tempo (which is in Beats Per Minute) and slide it from 40 to 240 BPM. The default setting is 120 BPM. This should work out very nicely for your experiment, although I don't think that it will tell you the original BPM in the imported MIDI file...
