Hello Crew,
I am new to the Powermac line of computers. At the risk of being labeled a worrisome ninny I was wondering if anyone could point me to the upper limits for the temps in the machine listed above. The posted stats are what I am running at right now but temperature monitor won't show me the upper limits... Is this to hot for its own good? Thanks in advanced. Looks pretty normal to me. Most CPU temperatures can range from 150ºF to 200ºF.

I have a Dual 1.8Ghz that runs between 45C and 56 C. For some reason one CPU is 2C hotter than the other, I'm guessing this is due to poor calibration of the temperature sensors.
I'd guess a 2.0Ghz machine would be hotter than a 1.8Ghz. I doubt you have anything to worry about. Do you hear the fans running? EDIT: I said F before when I meant C. |
