I mean, now that Windows XP SP2 is a 3rd party Mac product, it's fair game for this forum, right?

But only as far as installation on the Mac is concerned. BTW, there have been several requests for Windows support in the Genius Bar, so it's not like mentioning Windows would get you banned immediately

3rd party...

Tell you what. When it runs *on top of* MacOS X, *without an intervening application layer*... *THEN* it will be a 3rd party Mac product.

Ok, so when I grab a window by the title bar and shake it around the screen on my MacBook running XP, the window flickers and the items behind it get these momentary squares of solid color. When I do the same thing on the same machine using OSX, the window moves around the screen as though it's a solid object. The items behind it do not flicker and the contents of the window remain entirely entact.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Generally, no.

If you have Windows software problems, take it to a Windows software forum.

If the topic is specific to Boot Camp or getting Windows to run via such software, that's fair game.

The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting.

What would be the odds of a Windows malfunctioning directly caused by Boot Camp or some interaction with Mac, beside the drivers?
