I recently upgraded to the latest build of Newsfire It works ok, but I just get the Application folder icon when I get notifications - not the Newsfire one.

I have Newsfire in my applications folder. All other Applications are ok.

In my Growl Preferences, I can see the list of registered Apps (all with their own icon) but Newsfire uses the Applications Folder Icon.

I deleted Newsfire from the Preferences, then relaunched it again. I had notification that Newsfire had registered.

However, I just get the same Application Folder icon in the Preference Pane.

I don't know how to solve this. Has anyone recently upgraded to version 1.3 (v59) and now has this problem with Growl?

Regards

Have you tried clearing your caches?

I completely uninstalled Newsfire including Caches, Preferences etc, then downloaded a fresh copy of the App. When I relaunched, Growl notified me of registration but the Folder Icon error remains.

I am assuming you mean the caches for Newsfire and not Caches in general?

If anyone on here is still running the previous version (1.3 Ver 58) and still has the DMG file hanging around, could they please pm me.

I have tried to contact the developer with no success. However, he still found the time to delete my quite polite comments on his blog.
